On speaking out and using our voices ❤️‍🔥

Hey love 🖤

If call and response is the nature of reality then what is the call right now and how do we respond? I am often faced with an inner conflict about how to speak out when I hear of teachers who are causing harm. I know I’m not perfect and I’m careful not to throw stones when I have my own doorstep to sweep.

I’m also afraid to speak out against people who have more power than I do but someone I hold in high regard wisely counselled me yesterday. They said that we have to either stay below their radar, because it can indeed be dangerous, or stand in our own authority. I have failed to do both, on occasion, but I am learning and recognising my own position and dignity.

My view is that there is only so long that people can get away with action that is out of alignment. That there is only so long that the Truth can stay in concealment. That, in the end, people who are causing harm will burn their own house down. Pete spoke to me for many years about the Cabal and Epstein and ideas that felt so wild that it was hard to hold. In my heart, I always felt that if it’s true, then the truth will prevail.

And so I listen and I seek supervision and guidance from those who are further along the path than me. I look to elders and mostly I look to women, though there are deeply problematic female leaders who are causing harm in the world, and to the lineages and traditions I care so deeply about.

On listening to the voices of women.
Today I think about the voices and words of women. And how they are silenced, dismissed or mistrusted, all over the world, in so many different ways.
From the women of Iran, who are not allowed to sing in public and whose loud lament has become a protest in itself. To the victims in the Epstein scandal, who have testified of the abuse for years, without anyone taking them seriously. And to all those who did not dare speak out because they knew they would be either ignored or punished.
Tova Olssen

I was grateful for Tova’s recent post about the silencing of women’s voices and I am wondering how I can reclaim more of my own. I have Mars in Scorpio in the 12th House (the God of War is deeply hidden in my psyche and not always easy to relate to) but I’m calling upon that force to support my voice and I invite you to speak to me if these words speak to you. I am always here to listen.

Samāveśa News

I send my love and also send news of the Samāveśa Sessions, which begin again on Wednesday 11th. If you are new to the community, or curious about trainings then this is a great way to receive from, and meet with, the faculty.

Georgie will be playing the harp and singing our nervous systems into deep rest before giving us time to create, draw, write and paint. To resource us and help us find our voices through inspiration. She’ll offer creative exercises and a sweet container for you to nourish your creativity for an hour on a Wednesday, 6-7pm through Feb and into March.

£15 drop in | £40 for the 4 class bundle | £30 community rate (for grads, trainees or if you are financially struggling).

Gwen, Tova, Alexandra and Liv will also be sharing in the coming months and I’ll share more about what the rest of the Samāveśa faculty will be offering soon, including Lib, Soph, Mari and Linda.

Linda has opened the doors to The Spiral, which I am honoured to be teaching on, and you can watch her free workshop here. Use the passcode UF&24C!e

Samāveśa School of Yoga

I’m an Embodied Flow™ facilitator, Senior yoga teacher, devotee, Tantrika and humble shepherd of the Samāveśa School of Yoga where I offer online and in person trainings, courses, retreats and community. Each week I send out a love letter with everyday esoterism, applying the teachings of non-duality and yoga to our daily lives. I share honestly and authentically and there is usually a free meditation, an offering or an invitation of some kind to help you connect with your body, the moment or each other.

Good morning love 🖤 I was talking with a dear friend the other night who asked me to share more about the last year and this wild descent. About midlife, individuation and how I’ve been experiencing it. I didn’t know where to begin. To attempt to articulate the layers and levels of animacy, synchronicity, archetypal forces, real life magic and deep alchemy that has gone down. Along with bottomless grief, unbearable pain I never wanted to face, a reality I wouldn’t have been able to fathom...

I was looking for a teacher, I found a lineage. I was looking for a practice, I found a path. And somewhere along the way, without quite knowing when it happened, I found my people. And they are all my Teacher. They all point me back to Source. Lib Hello love, I struggle with the guru-student relationship but finding a teacher was a necessary step for me and perhaps it is for you. In the past, when people have asked me about a 200hr training I have always advised to find a teacher, not a...

Morning love 🙏🏻 It feels like Autumn outside. A whisper of cool wind and the foreshadowing freshness of everything falling away. A year to the day, I journeyed to Greece for what would be a life changing pilgrimage. Today I find myself, once again, packing headscarves and floaty dresses but this time to follow the call of the Magdalene 🌹 She is the rose, the Divine Mother, the first Apostle, the Sacred Whore. A leader, healer, teacher and, for me, a bridge into wholeness. Both thorn and...
